In FY2024, this dedication to excellence resulted in the University of Pittsburgh placing sixth in NIH funding nationwide, with more than $660 million awarded. Securing over $195 million in NIH funding, the Department of Medicine led all Pitt departments, placing ninth among internal medicine programs across the country. These resources fuel our ability to accelerate discoveries, translate breakthroughs into practice, and drive meaningful advances in patient care worldwide.
